This year we partnered up with the students from North Stafford High School Learn and Serve and HOSA to make blankets for local hospitals.  The SlyeStrong#6 Foundation purchased the materials and the students made 52 tied fleece blankets of various sizes, patterns, and colors.  We delivered 24 blankets to the Children’s Hospital of Richmond and 28 Blankets to Mary Washington Hospital Foundation to be given to patients who need them.

A patient’s stay in the hospital often is cold and lonely.  Our hope is that these blankets will provide the patients and their caregivers a snuggly warm feeling of being loved!

Thank you to everyone who has helped support the SlyeStrong#6 Foundation’s fundraising efforts so that we may provide some comfort to these patients.
