The 5th Annual Spring 2019 SlyeStrong#6 Children’s Book and Supply drive was a tremendous success! We were able to collect over 1,800 new and gently used children’s books, bubbles, coloring books, crayons, pinwheels, and puzzle books.
A shout out to North Stafford High School, Jabberwocky Children’s Book and Toy Store, Fort Pure Play, Bodyworks Gym, Fredericksburg Orthopaedics, Mt. Ararat Church, Rejuvalase Spa, MBH Settlement Group, Winning Image Spa, and Central Rappahannock Regional Library: Fredericksburg, Howell, and Porter Branches for their support and help with collecting books.
Because of the incredible generosity of many, we were able to distribute a little happiness to Mary Washington Hospital, Children’s National Hospital, VCU Children’s Hospital, and area reading/parenting programs such as Head Start, Project ROSE, RACSB Teen Mom Program, and the Regional Alternative School.
