A core pillar of the SlyeStrong#6 Foundation is to provide six scholarships to local graduating seniors.  For the third consecutive year, we have been extremely blessed to recognize some outstanding students within our community!  This year’s recipients make us extremely proud!

A deserving senior in each of our five Stafford County High Schools earned a $1,000 SlyeStrong#6 Student-Athlete scholarship.  These particular scholarships recognize students who simultaneously juggle the challenges of academics and athletics while also serving as leaders and role models for other young people.

This year our sixth $1,000 scholarship, the AJ Slye Memorial scholarship, recognized a deserving senior from Stafford County, Spotsylvania County, and Fredericksburg City Public Schools who had been immediately impacted by cancer (self, parent, or sibling).  These students’ stories of how they rose above the cancer that had greatly impacted their lives were touching and inspiring to all members of our selection committee.

Thank you to all the applicants and we wish everyone the best as they move forward to their next adventure.  Remember the core values which have been instilled within you; be yourselves…Be Great!
